Vignelli Unigrid

Vignelli Unigrid example frame

One grid system serving hundreds of publications at different sizes without redrawing.

What it does

Massimo Vignelli's Unigrid for the US National Park Service defined a family of related sheet sizes sharing one modular structure and a black band along the head, so hundreds of brochures could be produced by different people over decades and still read as one system. The point is not a single beautiful layout but a structure durable enough to survive being used by strangers, which is a harder problem.

The prompt

A Unigrid-style information brochure about [Subject]. A heavy black band running the full width along the head carrying the title reversed out in Helvetica, the sheet below divided into a strict modular grid with images occupying whole modules. Ranged-left text in one size, generous white space, no ornament. Folded panel format, matte coated stock.

Replace [Subject] with what you are shooting. Everything else is deliberate: the gear, stock and lighting are what push a generator towards this look.

The Prompt Atlas

Every prompt here is a starting point. The Prompt Atlas is the full system: hundreds of production-ready prompts organised by outcome, with the reasoning behind each one so you can adapt rather than copy.
