Duotone and Tritone
One photograph printed from two or three plates to extend tonal range beyond single-colour black.
What it does
A single black plate cannot hold both shadow detail and smooth midtones, so a duotone adds a second ink carrying the midtones while black carries the shadows, each with its own curve. A tritone adds a third for highlights. It is not a colour tint applied over greyscale: the separations differ, which is why a real duotone has depth a tinted image does not. Album sleeves and annual reports used it constantly before cheap four-colour.
The prompt
Replace [Subject] with what you are shooting. Everything else is deliberate: the gear, stock and lighting are what push a generator towards this look.
